Ted Lieu: Producer price index rises .5 percent from February and 4 percent from March 2025
U.S. producer prices increase 4 percent

U.S. inflation continues to climb, according to Ted Lieu. The producer price index (PPI) rose by .5 percent from February and 4 percent compared to March 2025.

Lieu also contrasts the latest economic data with former President Trump's recent public focus, criticizing his attention on the Pope and social media activity.

In March, Lieu highlighted that U.S. PPI inflation had already reached 3.4%, surpassing forecasts. More recently, he called attention to the revised U.S. GDP growth figure for the fourth quarter, describing it as anemic at 0.5 percent. The latest inflation data adds to concerns raised in his earlier comments.
