IG Group, a brokerage firm, has released figures for the third quarter of fiscal year 2023.
Total income from continuing operations was £758.4m year-to-date, up from £722.7m the previous year. At the same time, the number of active clients in the third quarter since the beginning of the year was £335,400, 5% fewer than in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
According to a report published on the London Stock Exchange website, IG Group's YTD revenue in major markets in Q3 FY23 fell to £606.9 million from £621.9 million in Q3 FY22.
Revenue in high-potential markets was £151.5 million during the period.
The war in Ukraine and the banking system crisis have significantly increased market volatility and trading volumes, and IG Group expects full-year revenue and earnings to match market forecasts.
