Australian broker Axi has announced that it has become an official sponsor of the Esporte Clube Bahia football club.
Esporte Clube Bahia is a Brazilian professional football club based in Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia. The club regularly participates in the Campeonato Baiano and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A championships. In December 2022, City Football Group acquired a controlling stake in Esporte Clube Bahia after the decision was approved by a vote of the club's members. The deal closed in May 2023.
According to the broker's official Twitter page, the sponsorship is primarily focused on increasing Axi's brand awareness in Latin America.
"Bahia's history is a testament to its perseverance and resilience, always striving for the best in the pursuit of success," said Louis Cooper, Axi's Chief Commercial Officer.
