Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has released information regarding a trading bot outage that occurred on October 1, 2023, between 22:37 UTC and 23:48 UTC. The outage affected the exchange's users using the Futures Grid Bot, Spot Grid Bot, and DCA Bot.

According to the company, the issues have been resolved and all systems are operating normally.

"The root cause of the service disruption was a server overload. No customers' funds were at risk during the occurrence. Following the incident, Bybit initiated our protocols and fully resolved the issue," the exchange said in a note

As a result of the incident, users of the Futures Grid Bot, Spot Grid Bot, and DCA Bot experienced unexpected downtime. With the issue resolved, all displays have been fully restored and are showing correctly and accurately. In addition, the exchange said that clients' account balances and trading data were not affected during the outage.

Bybit has also taken a number of measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
