FXCM Group announced that its UK division, Forex Capital Markets Limited, has changed its name to Stratos Markets Limited.
This became known after the filing of documents with the UK Registration Chamber on September 10.
According to information published on the FNG portal, the FXCM UK brokerage reflected this change on its website.
"Stratos Markets Limited is an operating subsidiary within the FXCM group of companies (collectively, the "FXCM Group"). All references on this site to "FXCM" refer to the FXCM Group. Stratos Markets Limited is authorised and regulated in the United Kingdom by the Financial Conduct Authority. Registration number: 217689. Registered in England and Wales with Companies House company number 04072877".
In addition, according to the CySEC register of investment firms, FXCM's Cypriot unit, FXCM EU Ltd, has also changed its name to Stratos Europe Ltd.
Previously, FXCM Pro, the institutional arm of broker FXCM, partnered with technology provider Tools for Brokers (TFB). This allowed FXCM Pro to provide its institutional liquidity directly to Tools for Brokers' clients, enabling them to link pricing and trading to their MT4 and MT5 platforms via TFB's FIX API server.
