OANDA Securities, the Japanese arm of broker OANDA, has informed its clients that it intends to close inactive accounts.

In letters sent to users' registered email addresses, it said accounts that have not had any transactions for more than two years and have no balance will be closed.

However, the letter states that accounts for which deposits and transactions are confirmed by 3:00 p.m. on November 17, 2023, will continue to operate normally. Therefore, users who wish to keep their accounts open are advised to make at least one payment before this deadline.

If the deposit is not made to the account by 3:00 p.m. on November 17, 2023, the broker will start the closing process on November 20, according to the FNG information portal.

In addition, OANDA Securities notes that in order to re-register on the platform, it is necessary to apply as a new member.
