Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has launched the Blockchain4Her (B4H) Ambassador Program, created as part of the Blockchain4Her Initiative project.

The main goal of the B4H Ambassador program is to close the gender gap, giving women the opportunity to showcase their talents and receive funding.

"The program is designed to close this gap by recruiting female leaders who will serve as role models, builders, supporters, and mentors to empower and elevate the next generation of talented leaders," Bitget said in a blog post.

Currently, Tess Howe, Founder of Tess Ventures, Yevheniia Broshevan, Co-Founder of Hacken, and Cecilia Xue, CEO of the Layer-2 Morph ecosystem project, have joined the B4H Ambassador program.

The program will promote the role of women in the Web3 space through a multi-faceted approach that includes four key initiatives:

Role modeling: The program will highlight the diverse paths of its ambassadors through inspiring stories. This will encourage women to explore Web3 opportunities and advance their careers by networking with industry pioneers.

Networking: Events, meetups, and conferences will be the second area of empowerment, providing ambassadors with a vibrant platform to showcase their expertise.

Involvement: Ambassadors will support women through counseling and mentoring programs, creating a supportive environment that fosters the development of their talents.

Targeted support: Comprehensive support will include opportunities to collaborate with leadership teams and industry experts.

"Women are the most underutilized resource in the global economy in virtually every industry. For our part, we want to encourage their inclusion in the blockchain space by creating opportunities for them to join and grow in the industry," said Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget.

"It's important to support women developers and leaders by providing innovative and creative minds with the resources they need to succeed. As an ambassador, I will champion the transformative power of blockchain to improve financial literacy and women's inclusion," said Tess Howe.

"I am honored to support initiatives that address inequality, as I believe such projects move us toward a world free of barriers and judgment," emphasized Yevheniia Broshevan.

"In the male-dominated blockchain industry, we are now seeing an increase in the number of female leaders. Their presence marks a step forward towards greater acceptance and inclusivity," said Cecilia Xue.

The Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her projects, launched by Bitget as part of its increasing corporate social responsibility, are backed by a $10 million commitment.
