Leading global provider of financial services and tech solutions, Saxo Bank, has announced the release of an updated version of its OpenAPI and the discontinuation of support for SignalR technology.

Saxo Bank's OpenAPI is a key tool for developers to integrate Saxo Bank's financial data and functionality into third-party applications and platforms. The OpenAPI update includes a number of new features and enhancements designed to improve usability and integration capabilities, Saxo Bank said in a statement

The big announcement, however, is the decision to discontinue support for the SignalR technology within OpenAPI. As the SignalR-based streaming protocol is being removed from Saxo Bank's OpenAPI infrastructure, the company recommends switching to Websocket streaming.

The decision to discontinue support for SignalR is based on strategic considerations and the obsolescence of the technology in the context of today's performance and security requirements. Saxo Bank is providing support and resources to help developers transition to more modern and efficient methods of interacting with OpenAPI.

The upgrade to OpenAPI and the discontinuation of support for SignalR will be effective in August this year. Developers using Saxo Bank's OpenAPI will need to be aware of these changes and update their applications to comply with the new guidelines.

Founded in 1992, Saxo Bank is a Danish bank and brokerage firm that provides clients in 170 countries with access to financial markets and the opportunity to earn additional income by investing in ready-made, diversified portfolios. The company has won numerous prestigious awards and prizes.
