AB DAO and Bitget launch $2.6M airdrop to boost global Web3 adoption

AB DAO, the decentralized organization behind the AB blockchain (formerly Newton Project), has announced a global incentive campaign in partnership with crypto exchange Bitget, aiming to reward users and boost ecosystem activation.
To celebrate AB’s Token Generation Event (TGE), the campaign will distribute a total of 213,307,000 AB tokens, worth approximately $2.6 million USD, across global participants.
The airdrop campaign offers two participation paths through Staking PoolX and CandyBomb:
Staking PoolX: Users can stake AB and BGB tokens to earn rewards.
- Period: April 16, 2025, 10:00 – April 30, 2025, 10:00 (UTC+8)
- Total Airdrop Pool: 135,173,000 AB
CandyBomb: Users who trade AB or BGB from April 16, 2025, 10:00 to April 23, 2025, 10:00 (UTC+8) will be eligible.
- Airdrop Pool: 78,134,000 AB
In addition to the airdrop, AB DAO and Bitget are rolling out a joint global marketing initiative, targeting Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America to increase visibility and strengthen AB’s position in the Web3 ecosystem.
AB DAO’s mission: Enable 100 million people worldwide to own AB.
What Is AB?
AB is a Layer-1 blockchain with a current market cap of around $648 million, ranking #82 among top cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap.
The project originated in 2018 as the Newton Project, with the goal of building community-driven infrastructure that supports governance, collaboration, and incentivization. It was rebranded to AB in 2025.
AB focuses on real-world use cases in agriculture, retail, supply chains, payments, public welfare, and gaming.
