eToro becomes official sponsor of AZ Alkmaar football club

Social trading-focused broker eToro has entered into a two-year partnership agreement with Dutch football club AZ Alkmaar.
Although the executive did not provide any information, it was announced on social media by Elco David Vos, eToro's regional manager for the Netherlands and Scandinavia region.
The new collaboration is the third sports sponsorship deal eToro has signed this year, according to the TradingView website.
"With innovation and team spirit, AZ has conquered its place at the apex position of Dutch football. This approach is in line with eToro's philosophy of challenging the established order by being open to new ideas and daring to experiment. By learning from each other, we make investing accessible to everyone," Vos wrote on social media.
eToro's Regional Manager said, "We admire AZ's ability to reinvent itself every year by investing in young talent and giving them the confidence to grow."
On Monday, eToro entered the world of basketball for the first time, becoming the new official sponsor of Spanish basketball club Baskonia.
The company also signed an agreement to sponsor the next season of English professional rugby league Premiership Rugby. The partnership is part of eToro's efforts to expand its sponsorship in the UK.
The new partnership has also allowed eToro to expand its sports sponsorship portfolio to include several football clubs. Existing deals cover more than 17 teams in the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and Australian rugby.
Michael Koster, Commercial Director of AZ Alkmaar, is confident that this partnership will benefit both parties. "eToro values community and continuously improves people and their performance through innovative solutions," he said.
