GTN and Webull Singapore expand access to U.S. treasuries

GTN, a global fintech company, and Webull Singapore, a leading online investment platform, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at offering fractional fixed income investments to users across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
This collaboration is designed to lower the entry barriers to the fixed income market—an asset class traditionally viewed as complex and inaccessible to retail investors, according to PR Newswire.
Opportunities for Webull users
The partnership enables Webull users in the APAC region to invest in carefully selected fractional U.S. Treasury securities, alongside a broader selection of standard fixed income products. With GTN’s optimized single API infrastructure, Webull integrates market data, trading functionalities, and account management into its mobile app, making fixed income investing as user-friendly as stock trading.
By offering fractional ownership of U.S. Treasuries, Webull and GTN aim to make traditionally high-barrier asset classes more accessible to everyday investors, fostering greater inclusion in fixed income markets. This approach gives users flexibility to build diversified portfolios that balance risk and return—particularly valuable in today’s uncertain economic landscape.
Leadership perspectives from GTN and Webull
Jonathan Man, CEO of Webull Singapore, emphasized how the partnership aligns with the company’s mission.
“I’m happy to partner with GTN as they are a leader in this space,” said Man. “Adding another asset class—specifically fixed income and U.S. Treasuries—allows Webull to better serve the evolving investment needs and preferences of our users.”
Ankit Shah, Global Head of Fintech at GTN, highlighted the broader impact of the collaboration:
“We are excited to work with Webull to expand access to fixed income investments for APAC investors. Our technology is designed to make investing in key assets like U.S. Treasuries as seamless and efficient as trading equities.”
Democratization and market impact
The announcement comes amid growing investor interest in fixed income as a stable complement to equities. The GTN–Webull initiative addresses this demand by eliminating traditional hurdles such as high minimum investment amounts and complex trading workflows.
This partnership marks a significant step toward democratizing fixed income markets, underscoring both companies' commitment to financial inclusivity. By enabling seamless mobile access to a wide array of investment products, GTN and Webull are empowering retail investors across the APAC region to take greater control of their financial futures.
It’s worth noting that in late 2024, Webull launched U.S. equity options for retail investors in Thailand.
