Broker eToro has announced an update to the stop copy feature on the Copy Trading platform.

The new stop copy mechanism will allow the copied position to be closed as quickly as possible and the paused stocks to be moved to the user's portfolio.

Previously, if a user decided to stop the process of copying an investment that included stocks, a "pending close" status would appear, indicating that stopped positions remained open, FNG reports.

If some stocks in your copy remain open after five business days due to suspensions or sanctions, eToro will automatically remove those positions from the copy to protect the user's investment portfolio from potential uncertainties. After the initial five-day period, the position will be removed on the following Sunday.

This feature update means that eToro clients can now make more informed decisions about their trading strategy and future investments. In addition, users have been given the opportunity to copy the same Popular Investor (PI) in the future if his strategy matches their goals.

As a reminder, eToro recently opened its users' access to new data resources (expense ratio, annualized return chart, and ETF prospectus link) that provide traders with valuable information about ETFs.
