Broker eToro is making changes to its cryptocurrency policy in Germany.

This is due to changes in legislation. As of September 13, eToro users in Germany will no longer be able to buy crypto assets.

The broker stated, "We are committed to growing our business in Germany and to providing our existing German users with continuity and the best possible customer experience".

Once the ability to open trades to buy cryptocurrencies is removed, users will be able to open CFD positions. These will have the same risks as trading a crypto asset, unless leverage is used.

It is also reported that those positions that are currently open will not be canceled or changed; users will be able to decide whether to close or keep them open.

The restrictions on cryptocurrency transactions will not affect other opportunities for traders from Germany in any way. They will still be able to trade currency pairs and commodities, invest in stocks, exchange-traded funds, indices, and crypto derivatives.

eToro is constantly striving to improve its service and provide clients with more convenient trading options. In particular, the broker has recently optimized its advanced charts on the TradingView platform and updated copy trading tools.
