Interactive Brokers announced its financial results for September 2023.
The brokerage firm recorded Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) of 1.798 million in September 2023, down 8% from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, client assets rose 29% year-over-year to $369.8 billion during the period, but fell 2% compared to August 2023, according to FxAjax. Client margin balances increased 8% year-over-year and 4% month-over-month to $43.6 billion.
The number of registered Interactive Brokers user accounts reached 2.43 million in September, up 21% from the same period last year and up 3% from August.
The average fee per cleared order was $3.21, including exchange, clearing, and regulatory fees.
Interactive Brokers reported second-quarter 2023 net income of $1.0 billion and adjusted net income of $1.064 billion. For the same period in 2022, reported net income was $656 million and adjusted net income was $717 million, respectively.
