U.S. technology giant Nvidia announced that it has upgraded its flagship chip to support large-scale artificial intelligence systems.

The company said that new features have been added to the company's unique H200 chip, and the development will be rolled out to Amazon.com, Google Alphabet, and Oracle starting next year.

On the back of this news, Nvidia shares were up 0.58% overnight, and the stock is set to open at $486.18 on Wednesday, November 14.

The company will release its financials and earnings guidance in a week, so investors are keeping a close eye on Nvidia, with analysts predicting that the stock will continue to rise.

The H200 will be able to outperform the company's top-of-the-line H100 chip thanks to its higher-bandwidth memory. This is one of the most important and expensive parts of the chip, determining how much data the processor can process and how fast.

Compared to the 80 gigabytes of memory in the H100, the H200 has 141 gigabytes of high-bandwidth memory.

The increase in high-bandwidth memory, combined with faster connections to the chip's processor components, will allow services such as OpenAI's ChatGPT to generate a faster response to any request.

Meanwhile, tech giant Nvidia has not named its memory processor suppliers for the new chip, but Micron Technology has previously announced its plans to become a supplier to Nvidia.

The company's Nov. 14 statement noted that Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure will be the first to receive the H200 chips.
