Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchange Kuna has informed its clients that all trading operations involving the WAVES token have been stopped, including deposits.

However, Kuna clients who have WAVES assets in their account will be able to withdraw them until April 24.

Also, the KUN exchange utility token will stop using the Waves blockchain. The head of the Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchange, Mikhail Chobanyan, said that at this stage the company is considering keeping the token only in a centralized database or restarting it on another blockchain, ForkLog reported.

"It could be Ethereum, but no final decision has been made yet, as the token is exclusively listed on Kuna," Chobanyan said.

The head and founder of Kuna confirmed that the decision to delist Waves was approved because of the project's ties to Russian oligarchs and the government.
