Proprietary trading firm Instant Funding said its brokerage partner, ThinkMarkets, will no longer provide services to proprietary clients in the US.

"At the close of trading on Friday, February 23, ThinkMarkets will cease providing services to clients of proprietary firms in the US, as requested by our current trading platform provider," Instant Funding said in a statement on X (Twitter).

The company said it was prepared for this development, which is likely related to recent events surrounding MetaQuotes, the developer and provider of two popular trading platforms, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.

According to the plan developed earlier, Instant Funding will provide US traders with access to the DXtrade trading platform, but the transition period may take up to three weeks. At the same time, the company emphasized that US traders with active accounts will be able to keep all their accounts.

The company also intends to compensate for this downtime by offering US traders with active accounts a free $10,000 one-time call and a 30% discount code when they switch to DXtrade. To receive the free $10,000 one-phase call, traders must fill out a special form.

Instant Funding reminds that, due to the above-mentioned events, traders who have an active account must close all positions before the end of the trading session on February 23rd. All positions will be automatically closed after the deadline.

As a reminder, MetaQuotes has implemented a strict policy against proprietary trading firms in the United States in an effort to comply with the country's regulatory requirements.

Previously, many proprietary firms, including FTMO, The5ers, Funding Pips, Alpha Capital Group, MyFundedFX, and Audacity Capital, have imposed restrictions on clients in the US and are actively introducing alternative trading platforms to replace MT4 and MT5.

Meanwhile, Funding Pips has announced the launch of the Match-Trader, cTrader, and DXtrade platforms to replace MT4/MT5. Blue Guardian is also actively working on adding a DX Trade platform that will support US clients.
