Bitrue exchange hit by hackers

Bitrue, a cryptocurrency exchange, stated that it was the subject of a hacking attempt on April 14 that resulted in the seizure of assets worth $23 million.
Fraudsters withdrew funds in ETH, QNT, GALA, SHIB, HOT and MATIC from the cryptocurrency exchange's hot wallet.
The affected hot wallet only holds less than 5% of our overall funds, Bitrue said on its Twitter page.
"The rest of our wallets remain secure and have not been compromised. All identified users who are affected by this incident will be compensated in full," Bitrue's representative informed.
The exchange announced a temporary suspension of withdrawals, an internal investigation and a series of measures to improve security.
The Bitrue exchange launched in 2018, offering clients a wide range of options for active trading and investing in cryptocurrencies. The exchange also has its own Bitrue Coin (BTR), which can be used to trade along with BTC, ETH, USDT and XRP, and when paying transaction fees, reduces them by 20%.
