Vantage Markets brokerage company supports the initiative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to protect stateless people in Australia.
The company's humanitarian mission has been active before: in May 2023, broker Vantage donated $100,000 to the UNHCR.
According to the UN, the situation in Australia is very difficult: thousands of people remain unprotected and unable to obtain citizenship. Vantage, along with the UNHCR, is trying to make a difference and help refugees overcome their hardships. They provide critical assistance to these people and promote principles that strengthen the protection of vulnerable and stateless people. They also provide direct counseling support and assistance in documenting their stay in the country.
The collaboration between Vantage Markets and UNHCR has accomplished a tremendous amount, reaching approximately 788 refugees, IDPs, and returnees in 2023 alone. Of these, 119 have been successfully resettled from Australia to New Zealand, 39 have chosen Canada as their new home, and 19 have moved to the US.

Vantage's financial support enables UNHCR to deploy all necessary resources to support the emotional and mental health of refugees, particularly those from Iran, to help them adjust in Australia or New Zealand. Today, many of those who have received assistance are already looking forward to a more confident future.
"The application of these significant efforts has improved the well-being and standard of living of refugees and asylum-seekers under UNHCR protection. Most importantly, this commitment has provided them with options for eventual resettlement, giving them hope and a realistic path to a better future and ensuring that they regain some semblance of control over their lives," according to a report compiled by UNHCR Australia.
