Updated version of MT5 trading platform released: What's new

MetaQuotes, a leading global financial software company, has released a beta update (version 4330) for its popular MetaTrader 5 trading platform.
"This update aims to improve the user experience for both traders and developers. We have added new analytical objects to the web version of the platform," according to the post on MetaQuotes Forum.
Traders using the web-based platform will benefit from a wider range of analysis tools.
The 4330 update allows:
- Accurately measure price and time. Use a ruler to pinpoint specific points on charts for more accurate analysis.
- Customize charts: Draw shapes such as rectangles, ellipses, and triangles to highlight key areas on charts.
- Add labels directly to charts: clearly mark important events or price points for ease of use.
These new features provide more flexibility and control when analyzing the markets, helping traders make more informed trading decisions.
Technical terms such as "Copilot" have been removed and the code completion feature has been explained in simpler terms. An "Economic Calendar" is also defined for a wider audience. Abbreviated and simplified sentences are implemented for better understanding.
MetaTrader 5 is also designed for developers who create their own trading applications. This update introduces a new Welcome page in the integrated MetaEditor development environment. This will help newcomers to learn through various educational materials, while existing developers will be able to stay up to date with the latest news.
Benefits for developers:
- New developers will find a wealth of educational resources to help them get started (latest discussions in the Trading and Development Forum, new Freelance orders, latest articles on app development, new releases in the CodeBase source code library).
- Experienced developers can access the latest news and track their sales directly on the platform.
- Faster coding and improved performance.
The update also integrates the latest version of the powerful GPT-4o artificial intelligence language model. This enhances code completion capabilities in MetaEditor, potentially resulting in faster and more accurate code for developers. In addition, the update simplifies integration with the Economic Calendar and improves overall charting performance for a smoother user experience.
