EBC Financial Group expands services with AFSL license

In a strategic effort to expand its global asset management capabilities, EBC Financial Group (EBC) has acquired an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) for asset management from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
The new license enables EBC to offer advanced investment solutions specifically designed for institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), and professional investors. This move enhances the company's presence in Australia and aligns with its goal of delivering diversified, regulated asset management services worldwide, according to EIN Presswire.
The AFSL, granted to EBC Asset Management Pty Ltd, builds upon the company’s existing license for general financial advice and authorizes EBC to provide a comprehensive suite of investment services. The group can now offer strategies across multiple asset classes, including real estate, fixed income, equities, and alternative investments such as private equity and venture capital. Securing this license marks a key milestone in EBC’s plan to expand its financial services ecosystem on a global scale.
With economic uncertainty and market volatility persisting, demand for reliable asset management services has surged, particularly among HNWIs and institutional investors. EBC’s new asset management license strengthens its ability to meet this demand by offering secure, diversified investment strategies within Australia’s regulated financial environment. Beyond Australia, the company aims to extend its expertise to global markets, making sophisticated and transparent investment opportunities accessible to a broader client base.
Previously, EBC’s AFSL for general financial advice allowed the firm to serve both retail and wholesale clients with a range of financial products and services. However, the new license is exclusively for wholesale clients, enabling EBC to offer more specialized asset management services, including managing investment schemes, securities transactions, and custodial services. This expanded scope allows EBC to deepen its role as a global financial advisor, focused on enhancing client security and transparency in asset management.
“The acquisition of this license reflects our commitment to high regulatory standards and improving our asset management offerings. We are dedicated to delivering investment solutions that meet the diverse needs of high-net-worth and institutional clients,” stated Kris Wang, Head of EBC Financial Group’s Australia office.
Australia boasts a high-net-worth population of approximately 400,000 individuals with assets exceeding $1 million. EBC’s new license positions the firm to tap into this market, offering services tailored to the wealth management needs of this affluent demographic.
This new licensing phase advances EBC Financial Group’s mission to provide premium asset management solutions across both developed and emerging markets worldwide.
