The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has scheduled its first "Spring Sprint Towards Crypto Clarity" roundtable for March 21 in Washington, D.C. The meeting aims to engage industry participants in discussions about crypto regulation and define the security status of digital assets.

The initiative marks a shift from the enforcement-heavy approach seen under former SEC Chair Gary Gensler. Under new leadership, the agency is signaling a more collaborative stance, seeking direct engagement with industry experts rather than relying on litigation to establish regulatory precedents.

Industry leaders expected to participate

While the SEC has not yet announced the full list of attendees, key figures in the crypto industry—including Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire—are likely to take part. Both have previously offered their expertise to President Donald Trump as his administration works toward mainstream crypto adoption.

Additionally, Tigran Gambaryan, a former Binance executive who was recently released from a Nigerian prison with U.S. intervention, has expressed interest in working with the new administration on crypto policy and enforcement.

With crypto adoption growing, industry experts argue that the regulatory environment is now mature enough for institutional players to expand their involvement. The March 21 roundtable will be the first in a series of discussions aimed at providing clearer guidelines for the digital asset sector, with potential long-term implications for crypto markets and regulation in the U.S.
