Women investors prefer Bitcoin and HODL strategy

Women investors prefer Bitcoin and HODL strategy What women investors want

Women are showing growing interest in cryptocurrency investments, favoring long-term strategies and lower-risk assets such as Bitcoin, despite limited market knowledge. This is supported by data from a new Bitpanda survey.

According to Cointelegraph, the survey found that 50% of female investors focus on long-term capital growth, with 49% holding digital assets for up to five years and 39% planning to hold for more than five years.

Women also tend to choose more secure digital assets. Bitcoin remains the most popular investment choice, with 30% of surveyed women selecting it as their first crypto investment, compared to 24% among men.

Among 1,400 respondents, more than 54% made their first investments in Bitcoin, Ether, or XRP.

Why do women choose long-term strategies?

According to Gracy Chen, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, women generally build more diversified portfolios and focus on long-term capital accumulation rather than seeking quick profits.

"This measured approach is exactly what the crypto ecosystem needs—investors who understand technological fundamentals and don’t get distracted by market noise," Chen stated.

She also noted that women trade less frequently than men. According to a Charles Stanley study, men make an average of 13 trades per year, whereas women execute only 9.

"This patient and strategic approach works well in the crypto market, where emotional reactions to volatility often lead to losses," Chen emphasized.

According to experts' forecasts, Bitcoin price may reach a new all-time high as early as this summer.
