FTX postpones launch of Customer Claims Portal

FTX, the cryptocurrency exchange that filed for relief under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, has announced that it will not be able to launch its Customer Claims Portal in time.
The portal was expected to go live on July 3, but has been delayed due to recent adjustments to the filing schedule.
"Customers will be notified through email and the official FTX twitter account when the portal is open," FTX said in a statement.
FTX Trading Ltd. and its affiliated debtors filed documents with the court under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code on Nov. 11 and Nov. 14, respectively.
On June 14 of this year, the FTX Debtors filed a motion to establish a deadline for customers to file proofs of claim and to authorize procedures for doing so. On June 28, 2023, the Court granted the debtors' motion.
The Customer Claims Portal is intended to allow users to file claims in connection with the bankruptcy case and access related information.
Recall that FTX is facing serious allegations of misappropriation of client funds.
