Revolut launches crypto trading app with 400+ pairs in UK and EEA

After launching its desktop standalone version for digital asset trading in November 2024, UK-based neobank Revolut has now introduced a mobile app for cryptocurrency exchange, available to users in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.
British fintech unicorn Revolut has rolled out a mobile app for users of its crypto exchange, Revolut X, enabling customers in these regions to trade over 400 crypto pairs and more than 220 digital tokens — all while on the go.
“This is a simple yet powerful experience designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced traders, with the added benefit of robust security measures that customers can rely on,” said Leonid Bashlykov, Head of Crypto Product at Revolut, in a statement.
Revolut’s crypto ambitions
Revolut claims to have over 45 million users worldwide and a valuation of $45 billion. Until recently, Revolut X was available only to professional traders.
The mobile app launch comes at a time when U.S.-based crypto service providers like Coinbase and Crypto.com have acquired licenses under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatory framework and are expanding their presence in Europe.
Revolut’s Head of Crypto, Emil Urmanshin, stated that their mobile app will serve as “a truly strong alternative to some of the more well-known” competitors. According to him, Revolut has major crypto ambitions and plans to further develop its exchange platform.
