Arthur Hayes, Co-Founder and former CEO of BitMEX, said that Bitcoin will be the most suitable currency for AI.

According to him, artificial intelligence needs an automated and constantly active payment system to "stay afloat," and Bitcoin is best suited for this, as the banking system is unable to provide the same level.

According to Yahoo! Finance, Hayes believes that a blockchain-based system is needed to provide the necessary payment infrastructure.

Assessing the prospects of the AI payment function, Hayes stated that a payment system that is censorship-resistant and characterized by obvious and explicit standards is needed to mitigate the risks of deplatforming.

Thus, in his opinion, Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency for AI because it is censorship-resistant and limited to 21 million coins, which confirms its value.

As for stablecoins, they are vulnerable to censorship, can be frozen by the issuer, or can be challenged by regulators. This makes them less suitable for AI.

On this basis, Hayes sees Ethereum as an unsuitable candidate to be the preferred AI currency, noting that it has a different perspective than Bitcoin or fiat currencies, which are "just money."
