KuCoin honored with UNWWO 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Award

KuCoin honored with UNWWO 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Award The award was presented during the UNWWO

Leading digital economy platform KuCoin has been awarded the “2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Award” by the United Nations World Women Organization (UNWWO), recognizing its significant contributions to global social welfare and women’s empowerment.

The award was presented during the UNWWO’s official parallel session of the 69th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) and the Global Women Leadership Summit, held at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Representing KuCoin, Sylvie Dong—Director of CSR and Global Human Resources—attended the forum and delivered a keynote on the company’s corporate responsibility efforts. Dong outlined KuCoin’s intensified investment in CSR throughout 2024, highlighting its deepened commitment to sustainable, community-driven initiatives across developing regions.

CSR projects reach thousands across continents

At the summit, KuCoin unveiled details of three landmark initiatives launched in collaboration with key partners including the United Nations, the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), the Smile Simon Green Building Foundation, and the Office of the First Lady of the Bahamas.

The projects include: distribution of solar lamps to underserved children, access to hygiene resources and awareness for girls and women, grassroots education and resources to address climate-related challenges.

These programs spanned several countries including the Bahamas, Suriname, and Nigeria, collectively benefiting nearly 50,000 women and children.

Looking Ahead: KuCoin sets the bar for industry CSR

This award underscores KuCoin’s evolution from a leading crypto exchange into a socially conscious global actor. By embedding CSR as a core strategic focus, the company is setting a precedent for how blockchain firms can contribute to inclusive growth and gender equity.

With rising expectations around environmental and social governance (ESG), KuCoin’s model may serve as a blueprint for other firms in the digital finance space. Future developments are expected to build on this momentum, with broader partnerships and scaled outreach anticipated in the coming year.
