Crypto exchange BitMEX has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Italian football club AC Milan.
According to a note from BitMEX, the exchange will move the relationship from a simple sponsorship to a premium one while remaining AC Milan's official cryptocurrency trading partner, which will increase BitMEX's brand exposure through the connection to the club's global fan base.
"We are very pleased to strengthen our partnership with AC Milan, Italy. In addition to the charitable projects we have worked on together, we appreciate and welcome the competitive spirit and the sense of connection that comes from it," said Stephan Lutz, CEO of BitMEX.
"We are happy to continue our journey alongside a partner such as BitMEX, with whom we intend to take further steps forward in the path of digitalisation, innovation, and growth of the Club, but also to support the many charitable initiatives promoted by Fondazione Milan," commented Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, on the expansion of the partnership.
The cooperation between BitMEX and AC Milan started in 2021. Since then, the partnership has allowed for the conduct of numerous charity events, including the celebration of Milan's first Italian Serie A title in 11 years.
Also, Lutz announced that BitMEX will continue to arrange various events and offer exclusive benefits to fans of the Italian football club around the world.
