Base has entered the top 3 best NFT platforms
Five days after its launch, Base has confidently entered the top 3 best Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains for NFT transfers for both the ERC-721 and ERC-1155 NFT standards.
Since Coinbase launched the Base network on August 9, the number of users per day has reached over one hundred thousand, and the total value locked (TVL) has approached $200 million.
NFT transfer volumes on Base have surpassed those of Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Optimism in Ethereum, reports Beincrypto.
Base is in second place for ERC-721 and ERC-1155 transfers after Polygon and BNB, which recorded more ERC-721 and ERC-1155 transfers.
On the day of the official launch, the number of ERC-721 transfers to Base exceeded 100,000, and on August 10th, they exceeded 165,000, which is 14.2% of all transfers for that day.
At the same time, Polygon's share of ERC-1155 transfers dropped below 65% on August 13th, as Base accounted for almost 20% of all ERC-1155 transfers that Sunday.
Some cryptocurrency market analysts have already linked the sharp increase in NFT activity on Base to the excitement surrounding the release of the new L2, as well as the launch of several new projects, such as new NFT games, Parallel Life, and others. At the same time, they consider the speed of the platform to be the main factor in its popularity.
It's worth noting that the officially launched Base was already integrated into the wider ecosystem. Its main wallets, including Metamask and Trust Wallet, were available as soon as the network was launched.
Additionally, all fees are paid in ETH, meaning that new users don't need to purchase network tokens for transactions on Base.
