Stellar launches new digital payment platform
Stellar Development Foundation (SDF), a non-profit organization, has launched Stellar Disbursement, a payment platform based on the open-source Stellar blockchain. The payment network is designed to provide fast, inexpensive, and transparent digital currency transfers around the world.
The platform was developed by SDF last year but has only now been launched after successful testing. It offers the ability to make bulk payments to both businesses and individuals using digital assets for a variety of purposes, including cryptocurrency financial aid.
According to Cryptonews, SDF aims to provide everyone with equal access to the global financial system. Initially, the Stellar Disbursement platform was developed for digital aid payments in Ukraine. The developers envisioned an open-source payment solution that is now available for use by anyone.
Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Foundation, expressed optimism about the release of the Stellar Disbursement Platform, highlighting the platform's success in facilitating digital aid payments in Ukraine, as well as its prospects for development as a comprehensive payments solution.
