MicroBT introduces WhatsMiner M6xS++ Series with up to 478 TH/s performance, sets the standard for green mining

At the Bitcoin MENA 2024 conference, which opened on December 9 in Abu Dhabi, leading global manufacturer of ASIC Bitcoin miners MicroBT introduced its new line of WhatsMiner M6xS++ equipment.
The new ASIC miners boast energy efficiency of 15.5 J/T. The air-cooled WhatsMiner M60S++ delivers up to 226 TH/s hash rate, the hydro-cooled M63S++ achieves up to 478 TH/s, and the immersion-cooled M66S++ offers a hash rate of up to 356 TH/s.
During the conference, MicroBT’s founder and CEO, Zuoxing Yang, delivered a keynote speech titled "Towards Great and Green Mining." In his address, Yang emphasized that sustainable mining is becoming a leading trend for the future, driven by reducing electricity costs—expected to drop to approximately 3.4 US cents per kWh through solar energy by 2025.
New mining horizons
Additionally, the innovative high-temperature hydro-cooling technology in WhatsMiner extends the boundaries of integrated heat recovery. This technology minimizes cooling needs and allows heat to be repurposed for various applications, including industrial steam production, seawater desalination, and heating systems.
Previously, MicroBT collaborated with the US-based company Heat Core on a pilot project for using mining heat in industrial processes. This year, Finland's Hashlabs Mining utilized WhatsMiner M63S devices to heat residential areas.
On October 29, an unknown solo miner mined a Bitcoin block for the first time using a small home Apollo miner. In doing so, they not only earned more than 3 BTC but also demonstrated that Bitcoin mining is possible outside of mining pools.
