Michael Saylor urges investors to sell bonds and real estate, buy Bitcoin

At the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, MicroStrategy co-founder and Executive Chairman Michael Saylor encouraged investors to remain committed to Bitcoin (BTC).
In his speech titled “21 Ways to Wealth,” Saylor described Bitcoin as the ultimate form of capital. He urged the audience to develop deep conviction, act boldly, and strategically reallocate their investments—emphasizing the importance of regulatory compliance for companies aiming to succeed in the evolving crypto landscape.
"Bitcoin is engineered to outperform everything. Take your fiat, exchange it for Bitcoin. Take your long-term capital, exchange it for Bitcoin. Sell your bonds, buy Bitcoin. Sell your low-quality capital and real estate—buy Bitcoin," Saylor declared.
He also stressed the value of partnering with investors who share the same risk, as a means to accelerate capital growth.
As an example, Saylor cited the rise of Metaplanet’s market cap from $10 million to $5 billion through equity partnerships.
Bitcoin drops despite Saylor’s Evangelical call
Saylor’s passionate call—comparable in tone to a sermon—came as the community discussed Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings.
A known opponent of proof-of-reserves disclosures, Saylor again rejected the idea at the conference, citing security risks.
Shortly after, blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence claimed it successfully identified 97% of MicroStrategy’s BTC holdings (580,250 BTC), including an additional 53,833 BTC worth $5.75 billion.
“We’ve identified nearly ALL of Saylor’s BTC—totaling $59.92 billion,” said Arkham.
The crypto community responded with mixed reactions. One X user, MadPunk, commented:
“The upside: Saylor truly holds Bitcoin. The downside: you're setting the market up for a perfect black swan two years from now.”
