Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has revealed his idea to create a Web3 version of social network LinkedIn. This would help to improve the verification of users' workplace and credentials.

Recently, Brian Armstrong voiced his plans to promote innovation in cryptocurrencies and offered 10 ideas for startups that anyone can use. As a result, the Coinbase founder received more than 150 responses with requests for implementing his ideas and also voiced a new, 11th startuidea.

His exciting proposal is to create a Web3 version of LinkedIn. The new concept will revolutionize the way people verify their identity and employment in the Web3 era.

Armstrong's innovative project is fully in line with his strategy for the cryptocurrency industry, which he presented in his business blog on August 30. In that strategy, he reviewed numerous concepts that can transform the digital asset market and emphasized the importance of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Forming a Web3 version of LinkedIn, where companies will be able to issue personal NFTs to verify employment and qualifications, could completely replace existing CV verification processes with a transparent method of proving professional qualifications.

Technically, Armstrong envisions this process as the development of a user-friendly interface for exploring the profiles of companies and their employees. Creating a network effect requires a special effort, but Armstrong seems to have found it by allowing users to mint their NFTs if they can verify their connection to a company via email.

The Web3-LinkedIn idea is part of Armstrong's plans to expand the crypto industry, create new cryptocurrency jobs, implement cryptocurrency payrolls, and eliminate difficulties with cross-border payments. Coinbase also said it is partnering with X (formerly Twitter) to launch a jobs service.
