Pudgy Penguins partners with Lufthansa to offer crypto flight miles

Web3 project Pudgy Penguins has announced a partnership with Lufthansa’s Miles & More frequent flyer program. Customers of the Pudgy Shop can now earn additional air miles on flights with Germany’s largest airline.
The NFT collection and the issuer of the PENGU cryptocurrency, Pudgy Penguins, is working with Lufthansa to increase the real-world utility of PENGU. Users will earn airline miles for purchases made in the Pudgy Shop using either PENGU tokens or fiat currency. These miles can then be redeemed with over 300 Miles & More partners for flights, travel experiences, and other rewards.

“We’re partnering with Lufthansa’s Miles & More, Europe’s largest frequent flyer program, to bring rewards to The Huddle,” the project shared on its X page.
To begin earning miles, users need to register a Miles & More account, create a Pudgy Shop account, and link them via a dedicated pop-up within the Pudgy Store. Once connected, every transaction contributes to the user's airline miles balance.
Lufthansa partnership eases PENGU’s decline
The announcement coincided with a sharp crypto market crash triggered by Israel’s strike on Iranian military and nuclear facilities. Like most cryptocurrencies, PENGU experienced a double-digit loss but managed to recover slightly afterward.
