Adam Back: Quantum computers will not break Bitcoin in the next decade

In the next 10–20 years, the development level of quantum technologies will not be sufficient to break Bitcoin. This statement was made by Blockstream CEO Adam Back on his social media page.
He addressed rumors that Google is close to building a powerful quantum computer and that the Bitcoin community has 2–5 years to update the algorithm of the leading digital asset.
"We are nowhere near building computers with 1 million qubits this decade or likely the next," he emphasized.

Quantum computer chip by Google
Google recently unveiled a new quantum computer chip that it claims can solve a problem in five minutes that would take the fastest classical computer 10 septillion years (a number with 24 zeros).
The new chip, named Willow, was developed using the latest "breakthrough" quantum computing technologies. Google asserts that this chip marks a significant step toward creating a useful, large-scale quantum computer.
Meanwhile, Ava Labs CEO Emin Gün Sirer suggested freezing 1.1 million BTC stored in Satoshi Nakamoto's wallets due to potential threats posed by quantum computing.
