Crypto news: Real estate magnate Cardone Capital buys 1,000 Bitcoins

Crypto news: Real estate magnate Cardone Capital buys 1,000 Bitcoins Grant Cardone leads Cardone Capital into Bitcoin with $101 million purchase

Real estate magnate Grant Cardone has officially led his private equity firm, Cardone Capital, into the Bitcoin space, marking a significant shift in treasury strategy.

On Saturday, Cardone announced the firm’s inaugural Bitcoin purchase, acquiring 1,000 BTC valued at approximately $101 million, reports Cointelegraph.

This move positions Cardone Capital as the first real estate investment company to fully integrate Bitcoin into its corporate balance sheet, aligning it with other public firms that view Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. Cardone emphasized that combining Bitcoin with real estate represents “two best-in-class assets,” signaling the company’s intention to aggressively expand its BTC holdings with plans to acquire an additional 3,000 BTC by year-end.

Real Estate-Bitcoin Investment Model Gains Momentum

The purchase cements Cardone Capital’s place above prominent Bitcoin mining companies like Core Scientific and Cipher Mining in terms of corporate BTC holdings, according to BiTBO rankings. Cardone Capital, which manages over $5.1 billion in assets across 14,000 residential units, is now leveraging the synergy between stable, cash-flowing real estate investments and the appreciating long-term potential of Bitcoin.

In May, the firm launched the 10X Miami River Bitcoin Fund, an innovative dual-asset vehicle comprising a 346-unit multifamily property and an initial $15 million in Bitcoin. Cardone previously shared that his brother inspired this hybrid model, where rental income from real estate can be reinvested to continuously accumulate Bitcoin.

Bitcoin-Real Estate Strategy Marks a New Corporate Trend

Grant Cardone’s strategic embrace of Bitcoin reflects a broader trend among companies seeking to hedge inflation and enhance treasury resilience by diversifying into digital assets. Cardone’s approach stands out by directly tying Bitcoin accumulation to real estate cash flow, creating a potentially self-reinforcing investment loop. By blending hard assets with high-growth crypto exposure, Cardone Capital is positioning itself at the forefront of a growing movement among traditional asset managers to integrate blockchain-driven financial strategies. As Cardone aims to scale this model, his firm could influence more real estate investment companies to explore Bitcoin as a viable treasury and asset diversification tool.
