Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it will no longer accept deposits in Russian rubles, following its decision to exit Russia and sell its CommEX division.
Acceptance of deposits in Russian rubles will be stopped on November 15, 2023.
According to information published on the Binance website, withdrawals in Russian rubles will be available until January 31, 2024, while users who have a balance in this currency can transfer funds to CommEX without charge.
To do so, users need to register a CommEX account or log into an existing account and link it to the corresponding Binance account. Once connected, users can transfer their Russian rubles from Binance to CommEX.
Users can also withdraw their Russian rubles through Binance's fiat partners, convert Russian rubles to cryptocurrency on Binance Convert, or exchange them for cryptocurrency on Binance's spot market.
