Uphold Topper opens access to XRP via Google Pay and Apple Pay

Xumm Wallet, which caters to XRP Ledger users, has announced support for Apple Pay and Google Pay through integration with Uphold's Topper payment protocol.
Users of Xumm and other wallets using Uphold Topper can now purchase XRP and other cryptoassets using credit and debit cards via Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Cryptocurrency exchange Uphold confirmed that users can use the Topper platform directly or any wallet protocols that have integrated Topper as a standard service, The Crypto Basic reported.
To purchase XRP using Google Pay or Apple Pay in Xumm, you need to follow a few simple steps:
- Open your Xumm wallet and go to the "Buy/Sell XRP" section in the Xumm app.
- Click on "Buy/Sell XRP" and select Topper.
- Go to the Topperpay page and enter the amount of XRP you wish to purchase or its equivalent in the specified currency of the user's choice.
- Topper will provide information on the current exchange rate as well as the required fees. To confirm the transaction, click "Continue".
- If the user does not have a Topper account, Uphold will request personal information to create one in accordance with regulatory requirements. If an account exists, the wallet will proceed to the next step.
- In the payment method selection box, select Google Pay or Apple Pay and link the Google or Apple account. Confirm the transaction. The purchased XRP will be delivered directly to the Xumm wallet.
