Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget announced that it has completed the company registration process in Lithuania, which will allow the company to provide digital asset services in the country in accordance with its laws.

Lithuania is an important digital asset market in Europe and a haven for cryptocurrency and blockchain projects due to its loyal crypto legislation. All these factors create a favorable environment for the development of the crypto industry in the country.

"At Bitget, we always embrace and follow the various regulatory frameworks set forth for digital assets and actively cooperate with governmental bodies to bring upon a better ecosystem. The global regulation of digital assets is advancing on a daily basis, and we actively observe the regulatory changes around the globe. We have a whole dedicated compliance team in place to focus on various regulatory compliance matters," said Gracie Chen, Managing Director of the Bitget exchange.

Bitget is focused on building a team to support its compliance initiatives. The exchange's compliance staff has grown by 50 percent in the past 12 months.

The exchange has also made great strides in Web3, launching the $100 million Bitget Web3 Fund. The fund's main goal is to promote blockchain adoption and support promising startups.
