Binance to delist multiple Bitcoin trading pairs

Binance to delist multiple Bitcoin trading pairs Binance to delist multiple Bitcoin trading pairs

Binance has announced the delisting of several Bitcoin trading pairs, affecting both spot and margin trading, effective early July 2024.

In a significant update for cryptocurrency traders, Binance, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, will delist a number of bitcoin (BTC) trading pairs, impacting both spot and margin platforms.

The move was announced on July 5.

Binance will remove and stop trading on the following spot trading pairs: AMB/BTC, IOST/BTC and LINA/BTC.

The delisting is scheduled to take full effect on July 6, 2024, 03:00 (UTC).

Binance noted that the delisting of a spot trading pair does not affect the availability of the tokens on spot, and users can still trade these tokens on other trading pairs available on Binance.

The exchange will also delist the following margin trading pairs:

- Cross margin: DGB/BTC, TLM/BTC

- Isolated margin: DGB/BTC, TLM/BTC and VOXEL/BTC.

The delisting is scheduled for July 8, 2024, 06:00 UTC. All open positions in these pairs will be closed and settled, and all pending orders will be canceled. Users will still be able to trade the above-mentioned assets on other pairs that are available for margin trading.

The decision to remove above pairs comes as part of Binance's regular review of its trading offerings. According to the exchange, the pairs selected for delisting typically fail to meet certain criteria in terms of liquidity and trading volume.

By delisting underperforming pairs, Binance aims to maintain a robust and efficient trading environment for its users.

This action underscores the dynamic nature of the cryptocurrency market, where exchanges are constantly adjusting their offerings to ensure liquidity and meet user expectations.

For traders who prefer to use Bitcoin as their quote currency, may require adjustments to their trading strategies.
