In an ongoing effort to align the cryptocurrency industry with broader social causes, Gate.io, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced a partnership with Forum Animal to support the Terra dos Bichos Sanctuary.
On August 20th, Gate Charity's representatives joined with Fórum Animal to support the Terra dos Bichos Sanctuary in São Roque, São Paulo. This sanctuary is a vital haven for over 500 animals, including dogs, cats, and various farm animals, many of whom have been rescued from dire and abusive situations. The collaboration was designed to address the sanctuary’s ongoing needs for cleaning, animal care, and the maintenance of the animals’ living spaces.
According to the Gate Charity's publication, volunteers from Fórum Animal were actively involved in several crucial tasks. They helped clean the site, provided direct care for the animals, and worked on maintaining and improving the living conditions within the sanctuary. Additionally, the volunteers took photographs of the animals to promote responsible adoption and raise awareness about the sanctuary’s mission.
To enhance the visibility of the event, Gate Charity supplied branded t-shirts for all participants. This branding effort not only unified the team but also helped to highlight the cause on social media and other platforms. Gate Charity also donated food for the animals and covered the transportation costs for the volunteers, ensuring that the resources reached the sanctuary effectively.
The event saw the active participation of about 40 volunteers, all dedicated to improving the lives of the animals at Terra dos Bichos. Beyond the on-the-ground efforts, Gate Charity and Fórum Animal used social media to amplify the sanctuary’s story.
For six years, Terra dos Bichos has been a crucial refuge for animals rescued from various distressing conditions. The event, supported by Gate Charity and Fórum Animal, highlighted the power of collaboration in advancing animal welfare and promoting responsible pet adoption.
