Cryptocurrency exchange Paxful announced that it has resumed operations, one month after suspending operations due to regulatory issues.

"Over the last month, our team has worked diligently to get the marketplace back online with the safety and security of users paramount," the cryptocurrency exchange noted on its website.

Despite the platform shutdown, access to the Paxful Wallet remained open and exchange clients could continue to trade using peer-to-peer platforms, the company said in a statement.

Paxful is a peer-to-peer trading exchange that was founded in 2015. The exchange provides clients with access to more than 350 ways to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. The company has offices in 21 countries and nearly 5 million active users. Paxful's security system eliminates the risk of fraud or loss of funds due to hackers.
