Stellantis and Mistral AI expand strategic partnership to accelerate innovation

Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest carmaker, has announced an expanded strategic partnership with Mistral, a French technology and AI firm.
Many carmakers are leveraging AI-powered solutions to analyze customer feedback, improve manufacturing quality, and accelerate product development cycles. Stellantis aims to use AI to process vast amounts of data in minutes, reducing decision-making times from weeks to just hours, reports Reuters.
Faster Decision-Making with AI
Ned Curic, Stellantis' chief engineering and technology officer, highlighted the impact of AI on the company’s operations.
"Will this technology continue to help us? Of course. Instead of waiting for analysis for weeks, we can do that in minutes and make a decision in the afternoon," he told.
By integrating AI-driven analytics, Stellantis expects to streamline design, production, and customer service processes, ensuring greater efficiency and responsiveness in an increasingly competitive auto industry.
Leadership Changes and Future Outlook
This AI expansion follows a recent management shake-up at Stellantis, triggered by the unexpected departure of CEO Carlos Tavares in December. The company is now focused on technological innovation to maintain its competitive edge.
Stellantis’ deepening collaboration with Mistral signals a growing reliance on AI-driven solutions to optimize operations and enhance efficiency. As the automotive industry increasingly embraces AI and data analytics, Stellantis aims to position itself at the forefront of smart manufacturing and decision-making.
