Elon Musk calls for impeachment of judge who Bbocked DOGE treasury audit Musk blasts judge

Elon Musk is demanding the impeachment of New York federal judge Paul Engelmayer after the judge issued a February 8 ruling restricting Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing critical financial records and payment systems within the U.S. Treasury Department.

Musk and his team have faced resistance from government officials in their efforts to conduct financial audits of federal agencies. The latest court ruling follows a lawsuit by 19 Democratic state attorneys general, arguing that former President Donald Trump improperly granted Musk unprecedented access to government financial systems and confidential taxpayer data.

Trump tasked Musk’s team with auditing federal spending to identify inefficiencies, starting with agencies like USAID, which provides foreign aid grants. The attempt to audit Treasury payments, however, has hit a legal roadblock.

Musk blasts judge, calls ruling a shield for "fraudsters"

Following the court’s decision, Musk launched a series of social media posts and reposts, accusing the judge of aiding government corruption.

"What’s happening is that those who want corruption and waste to continue will find an activist judge to do their bidding. This is an undemocratic and unconstitutional power grab by a small group of radical leftists!" Musk wrote.

He also reshared a political cartoon showing a judge handing a stolen wallet to a donkey (the symbol of the Democratic Party), who had taken it from a taxpayer.

Meanwhile, Musk's opponents point out that SpaceX, under Musk’s leadership, is one of the largest recipients of federal subsidies. They argue that Musk, now acting as a government official, should no longer benefit from such funding.
