Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink, continues to lead one of the most integral infrastructure projects in the blockchain ecosystem in 2025. Chainlink now secures over $9 trillion in smart contract value and supports more than 2,000 decentralized applications across Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, and other chains. In 2024, Chainlink introduced Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) into full mainnet deployment, enabling seamless messaging and asset transfers between blockchains. Nazarov also announced major institutional collaborations, including with Swift and DTCC, expanding Chainlink’s footprint in traditional finance.

Nazarov began his career in cryptography and decentralized applications, launching smart contract platforms as early as 2014. He co-founded SmartContract.com before unveiling Chainlink in 2017, addressing the oracle problem and enabling real-world data feeds for blockchain systems. With a background in computer science and philosophy, Nazarov is known for his deeply technical presentations and visionary view of hybrid smart contracts.
