Affiliate Program

Get 40% of every trading fee paid by the users who sign up via your referral link

The VALR referral (affiliate) program has notable differences from the typical programs of other cryptocurrency exchanges. The program includes four levels, but they are determined not by the depth of the referral network, but by the actions of the user. At each level (except zero), the exchange provides bonuses in the form of discounts on fees or affiliate payments. Level zero: you register without a referral code and do not receive any benefits. Level one: you register with a referral (invitation) code and receive a 10% discount on all trading commissions. Level two: you invite another user with a referral code and get a 15% discount on all fees, and the user gets a 10% discount. Level three: you invite two or more referrals and get a 15% discount on your fees. Plus, you also have access to 10% of all the commission fees of your referrals.

VALR's customer support was unresponsive and provided little assistance in resolving the issues I encountered. I cannot recommend VALR for crypto trading due to its poor performance, inadequate support, and security concerns.

On various forums and sites there are negative reviews about VALR, and most of them are true) I checked everything myself. The earned money was not allowed to be withdrawn, although the trade was going normally.

According to my observations, VALR is an exchange for everyone who is engaged in cryptocurrency trading. Beginners here will appreciate the interface of the trading platform and professionals will enjoy the absence of unnecessary services, such as consulting or personal managers. As a professional, I am honestly tired of opening top accounts and getting a manager who is not always competent. There is no such problem here. And the choice of cryptocurrency and convenient ways to replenish the deposit will be appreciated by everyone. I would add a service for copying transactions so that professionals can share their knowledge and get a percentage, and beginners can learn from someone else's experience.

Over five years of trading on crypto exchanges, I have come across different situations such as the inability to withdraw funds, frost from the support service, slippage, and glitches on the platforms. I can't say that VALR is the dream of any crypto trader, but the company performs basic functions well, and that's enough for me. The choice of cryptocurrencies is about the same as on other exchanges, but the commissions are significantly lower. When trading in high volumes, this is especially valuable. Communication with the support service could be made faster, and an online chat could be added, but this is not critical.

I use WhiteBIT as a backup platform for operations with altcoins and fiat. Liquidity is decent, and the 0.1% fee comes with no hidden charges. Security deserves special mention: 98% of funds are stored in cold wallets, there’s WAF protection, and the reserve fund is located in the US. Registration and verification didn’t take much time. The main drawback is limited educational content and only one type of investment option, but overall the platform is reliable.

I came across WhiteBIT by chance while looking for a platform offering margin trading. What caught my attention was the 1:100 leverage and the availability of both spot and margin operations. I also appreciated the multi-currency account. With a minimum deposit of just 0.0005 BTC, the exchange is quite accessible. Of course, I’d like to see more investment options beyond just crypto deposits, but for trading purposes, the conditions are solid.

WhiteBIT left a mixed impression. On the one hand, the wide selection of assets — including 10 fiat currencies and dozens of altcoins — is convenient. I appreciated the simplicity of deposits and withdrawals: e-wallets and bank cards are supported, and the fee is fixed at 0.1%. On the other hand, there’s no advanced educational content, only basic materials. For experienced users, that might not be enough. Still, the platform is stable, and the trading conditions are fair overall.

One of the upsides of Whitebit’s support is that, unlike many top exchanges, you can actually get through to a real specialist instead of being stuck with irrelevant chatbot answers. However, non-English-speaking traders might run into some issues. If you need a quick resolution, it’s best to go with English for communication. If you're not strong in English, be prepared to wait—sometimes for quite a while, even up to half a day. Plus, when a specialist does become available, you have to be in the chat. If you miss them, there are no follow-up messages in the app. I missed my specialist once and only realized the next day that they had responded to me the same day.

The Whitebit trading app is pretty well thought out, though it’s not perfect. A big plus is having seven different chart types to choose from. For technical analysis, you’ve got about 20 indicators at your disposal. But there’s a catch—you can only display two at a time on the chart. So, if you’ve got volume on, you can only add one more, like MACD. Another thing I find lacking is a monthly timeframe option for the charts. On the bright side, there's a handy feature that lets you select your preferred margin or leverage level for futures with just two clicks. It’s a great way to manage your risks. But I really miss having more timeframe options for the charts. For instance, I like using H2 and 1M for specific purposes, but they’re just not available in the app.

The majority of cryptocurrency exchanges allow traders to start from a small amount – from $1 to $50 or its cryptocurrency equivalent.

What should I take into consideration when choosing a crypto exchange?

The first thing experts recommend looking at when considering crypto exchanges is their reliability. Other important features include basic trading conditions, commissions and fees, customer reviews. If crypto exchanges are approximately the same in terms of basic criteria, you need to choose based on your experience and tasks. One crypto exchange may be good for professionals and another – for novice traders.

Can a cryptocurrency exchange turn out to be a scam?

Unfortunately, this does happen. Therefore, it is better to choose cryptocurrency exchanges that have been operating in the market for at least several years and have a stable reputation. Regulation of an exchange in one of the countries with high legal culture is also an advantage.
