AMarkets stops supporting older versions of MT4/5 platforms MT4/5 platforms are among the most widely used trading platforms globally

AMarkets, a prominent global trading platform, has announced that it will no longer support outdated versions of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platforms starting December 1, 2024. This decision is part of an ongoing effort to enhance security and functionality for users, ensuring that traders have access to the most advanced features and protections available in the trading ecosystem.

In a statement published on its website, AMarkets urged users to update their trading platforms to the latest versions to avoid disruptions in service.

The company emphasized that newer versions of MetaTrader come with critical security updates and performance enhancements, which are essential for maintaining a seamless trading experience in a competitive market environment.

AMarkets has published available platform versions:

 - MetaTrader 4 - version 1420, released on 24.05.2024.

 - MetaTrader 5 - version 4410, released on 21.06.2024.

AMarkets seeks to mitigate risks

MT4/5 platforms are among the most widely used trading platforms globally, favored for their comprehensive tools and user-friendly interfaces. However, maintaining outdated versions can pose significant risks, including potential security vulnerabilities and a lack of compatibility with newer trading tools and plugins. By focusing on the latest software, AMarkets aims to mitigate these risks while delivering a more robust service to its user base.

Traders who continue to use older versions of MT4 or MT5 after December 1 may face difficulties accessing their accounts or executing trades. To assist with this transition, AMarkets has provided detailed guidance on updating platforms and has encouraged users to reach out to their customer support for additional help if needed.

The company’s proactive communication underscores its commitment to ensuring that clients are prepared for the change and can make the necessary adjustments with minimal disruption.

As a reminder, broker AMarkets announced that its MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
