Robinhood unveils new products to expand wealth management access

Robinhood, the popular commission-free trading platform, introduced three new products at its recent event, Robinhood Presents: The Lost City of Gold: Robinhood Strategies, Robinhood Banking, and Robinhood Cortex.
According to the company, these features are aimed at making advanced wealth management and private banking services more accessible to everyday investors.
Robinhood Strategies: Professional portfolio management
Robinhood Strategies is designed to reimagine the digital investment advisory experience. Unlike traditional robo-advisors, this service offers personalized, actively managed portfolios tailored to each user’s goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. It combines diversified ETFs with individual stocks, and the strategies are developed by a team with over 50 years of Wall Street experience.
Robinhood Gold members enjoy premium terms: an annual fee of just 0.25%, capped at $250, with no fees on balances over $100,000. The platform provides interactive performance tracking, automated tax management, and Monte Carlo simulations — tools typically reserved for institutional investors.
“We designed Robinhood Strategies to give everyone incredible service and low fees with a cap, meaning you don’t have to pay more to invest more,” said Steph Guild, President of Robinhood Asset Management.
Robinhood Banking: Private banking for the public
Robinhood also announced Robinhood Banking, launching later this year exclusively for Gold members. The platform will offer checking and savings accounts, international transfers in over 100 currencies, and premium benefits such as private jet travel, event access, and cash delivery on demand.
Users will earn 4% APY on savings, gain access to estate planning and tax advisory services, and enjoy up to $2.5 million in FDIC insurance. Upcoming features include family accounts with joint access, child accounts, and a single app that combines Robinhood’s banking and investing tools.
“With Robinhood Banking, we’re trying to solve many of the challenges presented by legacy banks,” said Deepak Rao, General Manager of Robinhood Money.
Robinhood Cortex: AI for smarter investing
Completing the trio is Robinhood Cortex, an AI-powered investment assistant offering real-time analysis, trade ideas, and market insights. The Stock Digests tool helps users understand why a stock is moving, while Trade Builder simplifies options trading by aligning market data with individual strategies.
“High-quality investment insights were once exclusive to institutions and the wealthy,” said Abhishek Fatehpuria, VP of Brokerage Product. “Over time, Robinhood Cortex will transform the user experience by putting a premium research assistant in your pocket.”
Robinhood Gold members will get early access to Cortex by late 2025, with a full rollout to follow.
These innovations reflect Robinhood’s bold vision to redefine the retail investing experience and bring advanced financial tools to a broader audience.
Earlier, Robinhood Markets reported record financial results for Q4 and full-year 2024, highlighting significant revenue growth, improved profitability, and higher user engagement.
