Bank of Spain has registered eToro as a virtual asset provider

Broker eToro announced that the Bank of Spain has registered it as a provider of virtual assets for fiat currency exchange and e-wallet services.

According to the Fintech Finance News portal, eToro (Europe) Digital Assets Ltd. was registered in the Spanish central bank's Virtual Asset Service Provider Register under the number D848 on June 29, 2023.

"This registration is a testament to our commitment to operating a growing business that prioritizes consumer protection while also nurturing innovation and ensuring access for individual investors. As a multi-asset platform that has been a long-standing supporter of crypto and blockchain technology, we are proud to have received this registration from the Bank of Spain," commented Tali Salomon, eToro's Regional Manager for Iberia and Latin America.

"We will continue to empower our Spanish users by providing them with access to a diverse range of asset classes, investment tools, and educational resources to enable them to grow their knowledge and wealth," she added.

Founded in 2007, eToro focuses on social trading. The broker offers its services to clients in more than 140 countries. eToro has several units operating in different countries and licensed by weighty regulators.

Recall that earlier, eToro introduced a Fin-Tech investment portfolio to cover the fast-growing fintech industry.
