Interactive Brokers has announced that it has expanded its range of investment instruments to provide clients with more trading options.

The broker's users now have access to a range of products from the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).

According to information posted on the FNG website, Interactive Brokers has added:

- SPX Index Options - Standard (SPX).

- SPX Index Options - SPX Weeklys and End-of-Month (SPXW).

- Mini-SPX Options (XSP).

- Nano S&P 500 Index Options.

XSP options, which are 1/10th the size of a standard SPX options contract, allow control over the size of the contract and give traders the ability to manage their risk with greater precision.

In addition, SPX and XSP options offer simplified tax treatment, European-style exercise (no early exercise), and cash settlement (no delivery or assignment of shares) at expiration.

Nanos is part of a standard single-multiplier option contract that gives users more options in the U.S. equity market and enables hedging, asset allocation, and income strategies.

The main purpose of Nanos is to help traders more easily identify and size trades, giving them greater accuracy when hedging or opening a directional position.

Recall that the broker recently opened access to CME products as part of its program to expand investment tools.
